The Steve Nash Foundation Charity Shield is your chance to mix it up on the soccer field and in the pub with the beautiful game’s two-time NBA MVP — you’ll meet new teammates, make a big assist for kids, and have a ton of fun. Friday ~ Owners Dinner : 6p | Pub Night : 7:30p
Shield Friday Night: a not-to-be-missed night! Prospective team owners will meet Steve for dinner at one of his favorite eateries to get to know the man behind our work to grow health in kids, and vie to own the winning team. Meanwhile, players will be assigned a team, drink, and strategize for the next day’s play — all in support of the Steve Nash Foundation’s work for underserved kids. The owner of the winning team wins a cash pot and other prizes – play, bid or do both!
Saturday ~ Kick-Off : 11am
Charity Shield Tourney: your newly-formed teams, fueled by lunch and the best crop of competitors around, will compete throughout the day, with the top teams emerging to enter single-elimination Shield Rounds. You’ll enjoy a day of rain-or-shine footie, food, and friendly competition, prizes and more! New this year: optional kids programming to keep your pint-sized MVP active during your day o’ play – sign up for the Shield’s Youth Clinic at registration!
